I don't mean to sound conceited, there are many artist out there much better than I am. Also there are many poets who compose poetry much better than I do, but still I think my skills in these areas are quite decent.

For those of you who are not familiar with wolf men lore her is a bit of a primer for you.

Werewolves History

The true history of werewolves is different for every country, and differ from state to state. I will tell what I believe to be similar about werewolves and their history, to most common cultures, and a few uncommon ones.

It is believed by most (from what I read) that werewolves change from human to a wolf like creature, sometimes by will, sometimes by a full moon, and sometimes they stay in a wolf like state. They live in heavily wooded areas despise, kill, and sometimes eat humans. they travel in packs, and every pack has a leader.

Werewolves are believed to have 4 Clans the Full Moon Clan, the Waning Moon Clan, the New Moon Clan, and the Waxing Moon Clan. All the clans have different power levels and different tolerances for humans, and other clan members.

The Full moon Clan, is your classic werewolf changes when the moon is full ,they are the most powerful of all the clans and get along with others humans when the moon is not full. They have jobs, and live a almost normal live except for the full moon transformation.

The Waning Moon Clan, these live in the forest for the most part in safe houses. These werewolves are most responsible for attacks on human, and sometimes do work for vampires.

The New Moon Clan, this clan is the tolerant of humans, but also stay in the woods. They have even been know to help humans, these werewolves hate vampires and kill them on sight, because the vampire prey on humans.

The Waxing Moon Clan, live deep in the forest. They stay in their wolf like form most often, and are very territorially. They do not allow trespassers to live, whether it be human, vampire, even werewolves form their clans. They are few in number, and are rarely seen by anyone probable because no one usually lives to tell about it.

Werewolves according to time life magazines and their web site on this matter states "The word werewolves is a contraction of the old-Saxon word weir (Which means "man") and wolf--man wolf".

Places like: Argentina, Brazil, Finland ,Mexico etc., all have their own folk law, fairy tales and famous stories. Not only for werewolves, but many shape shifters: Windigoes, Werebears, Werecoyotes, Wereleopards etc. pick an animal and there is probable a story about its "were" counter part in some country.

There is not solid evidence that werewolves exist, so until then stories and movies is all there will be. But in every story there is a piece of me that wishes it was true. So I could seek them out and finally feel like I fit in.
